Resources for Artists to Respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic
The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council is committed to assisting artists and arts organizations in our region as we respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. We also believe that the arts are an important element in helping our communities during the next few months.
- We encourage any grantee that has had to change plans because of the current uncertainty to contact us to talk about changing the details of their grant to allow them to work without undue hardship. We plan to be as flexible as the law allows us in this regard. We understand that some events may need to be cancelled and we will work with any grantee to find appropriate solutions.
- We will convey as many opportunities to help with the situation as possible.
- We will encourage all artists and arts organizations to consider their own and their constituencies’ health in making their decisions.
We have created a small grant program for artists who have had opportunities cancelled or postponed to create virtual work. See our Small Grant COVID-19 Emergency program page http://aracouncil.org/small-grant-covid19/
Our offices will be closed to the public, but we are continuing to work and can be reached via email and phone. We prefer email as we cannot guarantee that anyone will be in the office.
We encourage all of you to stay updated with official public health sources. The Minnesota Department of Health COVID-19 page is:
