Individual Artist Equity Grant

funding will support the creation of a mural for the Aurora Public Library Children's area.

Anishinaabe Authentics (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will allow the artist to improve their workspace and produce a series of stickers, prints, and merch.

Chenoa Williams (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the creation of two beaded hats that represent stories from the applicant’s lived experience.

Emily Koch (Orr, St. Louis)
funding will support the creation of a series of paintings, photography, and film using homemade props and digital editing to create surreal results.

Erin O'Daniel (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the creation of a musical that radicalizes contemporary musical theatre.

Henry Kneiszel (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the creation of a poetry collection and tour.

funding will support the creation of a mural project to grow together in artistic expression and compassion.

Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support The Quartet Project, Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra's student string workshop.

Liz Vandersteen (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support clay classes for TBI recovery.

Third Coast Chamber Collective (Cohasset, Itasca)
funding will support a chamber music retreat for adult musicians.

Lyric Center for the Arts (Virginia, St. Louis)
funding will support the Lyric Center for the Arts Youth Theatre Education Programming Spring Production.

Northern Film Alliance (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the production of 'Horror High Film Camp' in Duluth, MN.

Serenity Kenan (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support a youth art education program at the Duluth Art Institute & an exhibit at the Duluth Public Library.

Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program (Grand Rapids, Itasca)
funding will support a music camp for the Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program.

Art Project Grant

Brian Bluhm (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the performance of North Shorror! 2024: a new eerie event featuring regional artists of all kinds in celebration of the spookiest season.

Freshwater Dance Collective (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support “Dances on the Lakewalk” - A Festival of Dance.

Magic Smelt Puppet Troupe (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the Run Smelt Run Puppet Parade. A non-motorized, exuberant outdoor parade performance on May 26, 2024. Free workshops in parade arts to create this celebration of the annual smelt run on Lake Superior.

Mesabi Community Orchestra d/b/a Mesabi Symphony Orchestra (Virginia, St. Louis)
funding will support the collaboration with Range of Voices choir to offer two concerts titled "Music Is Comforting" and featuring A German Requiem by Johannes Brahms.

North Shore Music Association (Grand Marais, Cook)
funding will support the performance of the award-winning blues, soul, and Americana singer Shemekia Copeland at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts in Grand Marais.

Northern Lakes Arts Association (Ely, St. Louis)
funding will support the Ely Mural Project: Painting Untold Stories of Our Community. Through conversation, and collaboration we are creating a mural that represents some of the untold stories of our community.

Sugarloaf The North Shore Stewardship Association (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the site-specific audio story walk, concert, and poetry workshops at Sugarloaf Cove.

Waawaate Programs (Ely, St. Louis)
funding will support the creation of Indigenous Students Day at the Ely Film Festival.

Operating Support Grant

County Seat Theater Company (Cloquet, Carlton)
funding will support continued COVID recovery and sustain operations.

Duluth Folk School (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the development of sustainable systems and programs that meet community needs.

Ely Folk School (Ely, St. Louis)
funding will support the expanded instructor development program.

Ely's Historic State Theater (Ely, St. Louis)
funding will support employee salaries.

Grand Rapids Players (Grand Rapids, Itasca)
funding will support the compensation of the organization’s lead directors in the 2024 season.

Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program (Grand Rapids, Itasca)
funding will provide professional instruction for youth orchestra students.

Northern Film Alliance (Duluth, St. Louis)
funding will support the year-round staffing, marketing, and programming operations.

Third Coast Chamber Collective (Cohasset, Itasca)
funding will support in strengthening the organization and expanding programming.

Grand Marais Playhouse (Grand Marais, Cook)
funding will support theatrical productions and educational programming for Cook County.

Lyric Center for the Arts (Virginia, St Louis)
funding will support Iron Range community theater and art space for youth and adults. Creating an arts ecosystem on the Iron Range.

North Shore Music Association (Grand Marais, Cook)
funding will support offering monthly concerts in a diverse array of musical styles and cultural traditions for the general public.

Tofte Lake Center (Ely, St Louis)
funding will support workshops and retreats connecting artists to nature and one another.
