Art Board Info Sessions

Would you like to learn more about accessing arts funding in Minnesota? The Minnesota State Arts Board is holding an information session in Grand Rapids on April 25. Program officer Natalie Kennedy will talk about the process of applying to Arts Board grant programs for artists, health and human service organizations, schools, local units of government, community organizations, arts organizations, and informal groups.

Tara Makinen, executive director of the Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program, will share her perspective as an applicant and recipient of Arts Board funding. On behalf of the Itasca Orchestra and Strings program she has successfully applied for and received funding in three different Arts Board programs: the Arts Learning program, the former Community Arts Schools and Conservatories program, and the Operating Support program.

Individual meetings with a program officer will be offered in Grand Rapids, Hibbing, and Virginia.
