Individual Artist Project Grant

Lindsey Bergan, Hibbing, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist's creation of a series of disability accommodation communication tools.

Sara Alexander, Virginia, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s time to do a songwriting intensive on the Iron Range and create a new collection of songs.

Anne-Marie Erickson, Grand Rapids, Itasca: Funding will allow the artist to edit and complete their memoir and work with a book designer to prepare the book for print.

Annmarie Geniusz, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s creation of three temporary chalk art portraits in various areas of Duluth.

Carla Hamilton-Eisele, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s time and materials to create a new collection of work.

Ginger Juel, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the time, materials, and equipment for creating a touch-sensitive family-friendly art workshop.

Jessica Morgan, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s time and printing costs to create a chapbook as well as promote the book to be presented at a literary festival.

Judy Nelson, Cohasset, Itasca: Funding will support the artist's time and equipment to lead a writer's workshop.

Juliana DeBellis, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s creation of a film retelling classic stories, myths, and legends through dance.

Cory Coffman, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s time to engineer/record three singles.

Kris Kieper, Grand Marais, Cook: Funding will support the artist’s time and materials to create new needle-felt pieces for an exhibition at the Splitrock Lighthouse.

Mary Casanova, International Falls, Koochiching: Funding will enable the artist to create a pitch deck for a limited television series.

Monica Ihrke, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s creation of a new series of linocuts and the purchase of supplies, materials for a show, and commercial printing.

Natalija Walbridge, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s continuation of a series of fabric collages.

Nelia Harper, Grand Rapids, Itasca: Funding will support promotional materials and coordination of artist meetups/paint-outs.

Paul Metsa, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the production of audio and video recordings of senior citizen interviews.

Rita Morris, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s creation of a body of work that is larger in scale than they’ve done before.

Robert Runnels, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the recording and release of a studio album.

Steven Karels, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the production, publishing, and promotion of a debut album.

Riley Reif, Ely, St. Louis: Funding will support the creation of the gear with natural materials used for a 111 mile hike and engage in conversations with communities along the hike.

Artist Access Grant

Sarah Seidelmann, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the creation of a single large-scale painting.

Alex Breilein, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the creation of an online print shop for the artist’s work.

Anastasia Bamford, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will allow the artist to publish a book of poems and photography and time and materials to exhibit the work.

Ann Ward, Grand Marais, Cook: Funding will support the artist’s participation in the Hovland Art Festival.

Kayli Staubus, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s time and materials to create a handbound poetry chapbook.

Linnaea Borealis Rose, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the materials and studio space to create seven illustrations to be hung in the Encore Performing Arts Center & Gallery during their winter production.

Melanie Lieb, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the material and equipment for the creation of a conceptual jewelry collection.

Sally Koski, Ely, St. Louis: Funding would support the artist’s studio time to develop five fiber pieces using natural dyes and fibers.

Moss Kupper, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the artist’s time to transcribe journal entries and pay for illustrations for a manuscript.

Arts & Cultural Heritage Grant

Allie Tibbetts, Cloquet, Carlton: Funding will support the publication of a children’s book centering on Ojibwe/Anishinaabe cultural teachings and beliefs about babies.

Duluth All Souls Night, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the build/documentation of a giant moose lantern puppet with guest artist, Andrew Kim.

Nate Johnson, Northome, Koochiching: Funding will support time and materials to host a black ash basket-making class.

Daniel Benoit, Duluth, St. Louis, Duluth: Funding will support the coordination and production of a live stream performance featuring local emerging musicians/performers.

Third Coast Chamber Collective, Cohasset, Itasca: Funding will support the artists involved in the Third Coast Chamber Collective Winter Music Festival.

Twin Ports Rosemaling Society, Grand Rapids, Itasca: Funding will support the Scandinavian folk art, craft and music festival.

Nordic Center, Duluth, St. Louis: Funding will support the Stämman Music and Dance Festival.

Rural & Community Art Project Grant

Art Along The Lake, Grand Marais, Cook: The funding will support expanded outreach efforts to grow participation in the Art Along the Lake event.

Ely ArtWalk, Ely, St. Louis: Funding will support paying staff and promotional materials and photography for the Ely Art Walk.

Ely Winter Festival, Ely, St. Louis: Funding will support coordination and artist stipends for the Snow Sculpting Symposium at the Ely Winter Festival.

Grace House, Grand Rapids, Itasca: Funding will support A Prairie Homeless Companion: A live performance and broadcast that shines a light on housing instability in the Arrowhead region of Minnesota.

Grand Rapids Arts, Grand Rapids, Itasca: Funding will support the Grand Rapids First Friday summer concert series.

Itasca Life Options, Grand Rapids, Itasca: Funding will support Inclusive Theatre for Grand Rapids. Bold Choice Theatre Troupe to visit Grand Rapids to perform their original musical for the community.

Little Knife Sanctuary, Knife River, Lake: Funding will support the creation of a puppet-making workshop series with a master class instructor.

Mesabi Musical Theatre, Gilbert, St. Louis: Funding will support the production of the Legally Blonde musical.

Minnesota State Old Time Fiddle Championships, Virginia, St. Louis: Funding will support staff and materials involved in the production of the Old Time Fiddle Championships.

County Seat Theater, Cloquet, Carlton: Funding will support participant stipends, administrative costs, and promotional expenses of The Roundabout Art Tour of N.Carlton County.
