Small Grant Program Under Review
Due to budgetary constraints in the upcoming fiscal year, the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council (ARAC) has decided not to launch the second round of Small Grants for Individuals that was set to open on April 1, 2025. ARAC made this decision due to a budgetary distribution correction made apparent to all the regional arts councils by the Minnesota Department of Revenue in early March. This decision was made as a precautionary measure to preserve our funds for our FY2026 grant programs. You can read more about this correction in this Legacy finance meeting and the meeting’s supporting documents.
The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council would also like to reassure our constituents that we will be moving forward with our regular grant programs, including the Artist Equity Grant, Operating Support Grant, and Art Project Grants for Individuals and Organizations in the next fiscal year. The Small Grant round 1 (which closed on March 2, 2025) will not be affected by this budgetary redistribution. We will continue to update you on future Small Grant opportunities in the upcoming fiscal year as the Small Grant Program is currently under review. We encourage everyone to continue to advocate for the arts in Minnesota, as even these small award amounts make a huge difference!
Thank you for your understanding.
