On Saturday May 20, our beloved concert venue, Goodman Auditorium in Virginia, MN, will host its final concert before its decommissioning. During this momentous occasion, the world premiere of The Sleeping Giant, composed by Dr. Rene Clausen, will be presented. The performance will feature members of vocal groups The Choralaires, Range of Voices, The Sectionals, Voices of Reason, Virginia High School Choir, and various alumni vocalists accompanied by the Mesabi Symphony Orchestra and Rock Ridge High School Orchestra members. These vocalists and musicians are eager to perform this original symphony score and are dedicated to bringing a world-class performance to community members, alumni, history buffs and devoted music fans from throughout Minnesota.
