Created and performed by Kayla Schiltgen, "is this magic?" is a new solo experimentally merging live performance and screendance to examine anti self-curation in an effort to merge the elusive with the present moment as a radical act of personal acceptance. Unfolding through a movement score prioritizing intuitive decision-making, desire, resourcefulness, and play, each iteration of "is this magic?” is a unique manifestation, offering nuance and fresh meaning.
