ARAC Board Member Openings

Support the arts in the Arrowhead Region
Become an ARAC Board Member

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council (ARAC) is currently accepting applications from individuals wishing to serve on its Board.

Current openings for terms started July 1, 2017:

  • a representative from Aitkin County

  • a representative from Cook County

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council is looking for individuals with knowledge of the arts, artists, artists from communities of color, arts supporters/collectors, or individuals working in and with knowledge of the regional arts community. Council members must reside in one of the seven counties in the  Arrowhead Region: Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis. Board terms are three years in duration (one year for the student liaison position) and expire at the end of June. Board members may choose to serve more than one term.

Board members serve as volunteers but are paid a mileage reimbursement for attending meetings. Serving on the board gives an individual the opportunity to learn about arts activities in the region; increase their knowledge of grant writing and the review process; and to network with other artists and arts professionals.

ARAC members are chosen for their knowledge, expertise, and involvement in the arts. ARAC abides by all applicable laws relating to nondiscrimination and affirmative action. The Council does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, age, status as legal alien, or any other legally protected status.

Applications must be submitted through email to operations@aracouncil.org and will be open until filled. For more information, please visit our Board Members page or to download a Board application form, please click here.
