David’s Description of the Talk:

Something (such as a spirit) felt or believed to be present

In 1962, two of my professors at Parsons School of Design took a
short class break and when they returned, they brought both classes
together. They stated that in their impromptu break discussion that
they found an answer to the question, “What is the most important
ingredient that a work of art must have?” They said, “Presence”. A
student responded, “How is it achieved?” They answered, “We just
arrived at it, so we will have to think about that.”

61 years later, with much reflection on this concept, I will share my
views on understanding the nature of this phenomena.
