(Re)Collect, a solo exhibition in the Kaul Gallery at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji, MN, will amplify themes of the collecting, cataloguing and displaying of natural history artifacts. While the art will simulate my version of a natural history museum, there will be room for viewers to interpret and contribute.

(Re)Collect will be on view June 7–August 24, 2024

Installations, such as "Inventory," "Coffer," and "Disperse" provide an interactive experience - viewers are encouraged to touch tags, open drawers and move seeds in the space. One new installation will literally grow through community participation. Based on a small piece called "I Collect", viewers will be encouraged to answer a pair of questions about what and why they collect. Their responses will be recorded on tags and hung on a gallery wall during the run of the show, giving the audience an opportunity to contribute to the design and content.
